Join CV DSA for a discussion of Dr. Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor’s pathbreaking book, From #Black Lives Matter to Black Liberation. This best-seller by one of the country’s leading Black socialists examines the history and politics of the Black liberation struggle, the roots of the movement for Black lives, and the debates in the movement over the strategy and tactics.

For the first session, we will be discussing the book's Introduction, “Black Awakening in Obama’s America,” and Chapter One, “A Culture of Racism.” The book is currently sold out in paperback, but you can get an e-book or hard back at Haymarket Books: https://www.haymarketbooks.org/books/1368-from-blacklivesmatter-to-black-liberation
