For the past several decades neoliberalism has had devastating impacts on the U.S. and international working classes, and on the planet. Cuts to social services, privatization, attacks on unions, and the worship of market forces characterize this period.
But since the pandemic, capitalist states around the globe have responded to the intersecting public health and economic crises precipitated by coronavirus with massive public spending. Some have posed the question, βis this the end of neoliberalism?β
At our next Socialist Night School, we will look at the origin and key features of neoliberalism, examine its devastating impacts on the U.S. working class, and take up the politics and strategies needed to successfully challenge it. If neoliberalism is on life support, who pulls the plug? Will you join us on Tuesday, February 9 at 7pm?
