Fascism—Then and Now

DSA Study Group: The Far Right and How to Defeat It

In countries throughout the world, authoritarian politicians as well as far-right parties and formations have become a clear and present danger. Donald Trump has galvanized a new right within and beyond the Republican Party. Join this four-part study group on the nature of fascism and today’s far right. We will begin byreading and discussing Clara Zetkin’s classic analysis of Adolph Hitler’s rise, Fighting Fascism:How to Struggle and How to Win, before exploring contemporary socialist analyses of the far right and fascism in the US and internationally.
