Socialist Labor Strategies in Vermont

Join Champlain Valley Democratic Socialists of America Covid Activist Working Group in a discussion of socialist labor strategies in Vermont.

For socialists labor struggle is key for transforming society. Working class organizing, unions, and strikes have been necessary to advance and defend our living standards.

But recently there have also been mass strikes protecting immigrant rights, climate strikes, campaigns against budget cuts, teachers striking for their own and community demands,  #ScholarsStrike, and, recently, Black Lives Matter, with the strikes of professional athletes in the wake of continued racist policing.

The recent international feminist strike movement has made visible the crucial role of gendered unpaid work for the capitalist system, expanding what gets counted as labor.
