Socialist Education Working Group Meeting

Happy summer everyone! We're still in the midst of summer, so we're thinking we'll re-boot the Socialist Education Working Group on Monday, August 23rd from 7-8:30 pm.

Join us on this zoom link to discuss socialist education in the fall. So before then, take a temperature of where your energy for engagement might be, think about joining a new project for the fall, imagine any new or different possibilities we could experiment with, and then come on the 23rd and we'll roll up our sleeves (as it may be cold enough to wear long sleeves by that time), re-introduce our post-summer selves, and plan for the fall. See you then!

A People’s Guide to Capitalism is a lively, accessible, and timely guide to Capitalism for those who want to understand and dismantle the world of the 1%. If we are going to change the world, we need to understand capitalism—the system that shapes both the injustice, oppression, and ecological destruction we must overturn, as well as the social and class forces we have on our side in the struggle for socialism. You can purchase the book here.

The discussion group will take place over the course of three sessions on January 26th, February 2nd and February 16th. The first session will focus on the Introduction through chapter 3, the second session on chapters 4 and 5, and the third session on chapter 6 through the conclusion.
