During our first session, The Champlain Valley and Central VT DSA chapters read and discussed the preface, preamble, chapter 1 (bourgeois and proletarian), and chapter 2 (proletarians and communists) of the Communist Manifesto. For this session we will be reading chapter 3 (Socialist and Communist Literature), chapter 4 (Position of the Communists in Relation to the Various Existing Opposition Parties), and Engels' Principles of Communism.

Try to take note the passages that you find resonant or confusing, but no shame if you don't end up getting around to reading any or all of it -- you are still welcome to participate in the discussion. Bonus points if you tune in with your mom this Mother's Day!
