Putting Workers First: Organizing in the Pandemic

Champlain Valley DSA is hosting a Zoom panel discussion with activists from several labor and social justice groups in Vermont and around the U.S. Panelists will discuss the pandemic-related challenges they are facing in their communities and workplaces and, most importantly, how they are organizing to address these challenges and advance bold left demands for workersโ€™ rights and economic and social justice. Following the panel discussion, we will open up to questions from participants. The goals are to strategize ways to coordinate our work more closely, develop shared demands and provide concrete ways for people to tap into these current campaigns and actions.

Panelists Include:
Andy Decelles, UE, City Market
Jeff Crosby, IUE-CWA, GE Lynn Ma.
Elizabeth Lalasz, NNU, Chicago,
David Van Deusen, AFL-CIO Vermont
Migrant Justice, TBA
Molly Wallner, VFNHP-AFT, UVMMC
Nolan Rampy, ASFCME, Howard Center
Tevye Kelman, NEA, Orange Southwest Education Association

Facilitated by CVDSA member and Vermont State Representative Brian Cina
